Construction Thread OUC

I passed by the site this evening, there's a lot of activity and it looks like they are begining the foundation. You can see it from the 408 when you get off at I-4. When I was in class the students that work with the project said it would start in May. I guess better late than never.

Looks like a smaller but slightly taller version of the AAA building in Heathrow.

The footprint of this thing is going to look like one of those trivial pursuit game pieces. It probably will be just as tight a fit hugging the street, old OUC building and the new offramp from the 408.

with regards to OUC and the neighboring City Commons, I'm not sure we all realize just what kind of civic asset that is.

Anybody get any pics of this? You can see the crane easily from I-4.

I drove by very quickly and didn't get a chance to take pics this weekend. So far it looks like they have quite a few of the first floor columns up, but I didn't see them connecting them together yet.

I drove by the other night and it looked like they are on the 2nd floor. Didn't get any pics though.

I can't wait for this to fill that lot off of 408... what a darkhorse project--- it will make such a visual impact to DT's SE side... wait and see.
