I heard that groundwork was already started on Freedom Tower. But that'll take years anyways.

Going up, coming down...the first of the new WTC towers (7 WTC) rises in the background. The 40-story Deutche Bank building will come down for the last of the WTC towers.

Symbol of the new WTC rises behind symbol of the old...

In the end, the new WTC buildings will tower over these Church St towers...

After a slow start, the Freedom Tower will rise just as quickly.

There has been talk of potential tenants, but nothing signed yet. Most likely, that won't happen until the building nears completion, and can be seen from the inside by potential tenants.

[FLORIDA SKYRISE ORDER]

I personally don't like it; as someone said, looks like a box. To me, it looks too standard, ordinary, nothing out of the standard ordinary realm of skyscrapers. Maybe it will look different once its built. Hope the other buildings around it are something more and something special.
