Concord in the midst of major changes?

Did some more checking looks like a Lidl the new German grocer coming next to the QuikTrip opposite the EarthFare and Kohls. Given all the homes nearby 2 different grocery concepts should do good there. 

That's odd as I thought Lidl was planned across from Publix at Weddington Rd and George W Liles Blvd. I can't imagine they'd open two so close together in Concord.

That is really not that close. Lidl is a neighborhood grocery store like Food Lion Aldi mix from what I can tell. I am sure they will do both they are storming into the Carolinas.

I’m still disappointed that they aren’t just building a direct access flyover from I-85 to the mall that connects to the backside of the mall loop. I feel like this would mitigate traffic better.
