Detroit's Freedom Festival Fireworks

7 posts in this topic

Each year, the cities of Detroit and Windsor, Ont. hold the Freedom Festival, a joint Independence Day celebration between the two cities. The festivities culminate in a fireworks display (yep, we get out fireworks display a week before all the other cities).

Here are a few photos from last night. Enjoy!

Beautiful photos Allan. The lighting is perfect in every one of them.

Just great! Wonderful vantage point as well. As usual, I was over in Windsor, looking back the other way. :) Fireworks time is one of my favorites in the city.

Wow...the fireworks look beautiful. Excellent work Allan.

The Freedom Festival sounds interesting, I'll have to go visit it sometime.

Man, I really have to make it down there more often. I haven't seen the fireworks, in years. We used to watch them from WSU Stadium/Adams Field stadium at Wayne State.

The Detroit News has some other great perspective of the event.
