[South Carolina] New State Route Signage Statewide

Anderson Indepdent-Mail (28 June 2007): The current black and white South Carolina state route signage throughout the state are fading away.

The signage will be replaced with ones with a blue background and white numbering, South Carolina written on the top, an outline of the state, a palmetto tree, and a cresent moon. The conversion may take up to a decade.

Our state route signage in most places seem to function well. The current design is plain like Georgia and North Carolina though, so it may be nice for a change.

I once wondered if one day they would have signage like they do for Georgia state highways. I never thought it would be as colorful as the one they are planning.
