I'm no attorney, but this seems wrong. This is as good as letting him walk free. A charge or murder will never stick, he'll be cleared of that charge as he has the money for a good attorney, and at the end of the trial, he'll walk away free. Shouldn't the charge have been manslaughter???? :dontknow:

I must say, though, the article makes my blood boil. What a pompous *ss his dad must be. This quote by his dad:

"The charge is ridiculous

Based on some other conversations I've seen on other sites around this, it likely has to do with the reckless endangerment part of the statute allowing for the charge of murder. As they say on the Internet IANAL (I am not a lawyer), so that's solely based on other people making comments on other sites.

I enjoyed this portion of the write up:

Ludwig was called back into court this afternoon. Circuit Judge Eugene Griffith said Ludwig was trying to alter his bond and that the action was "almost a thumb in my eye" and a disrespect to the court system."
