I love 1st ward park. The water feature and interactive things differentiates it. Romare should've had a spray Park.

I like First Ward park. The exercise equipment  is particularly fun after a night of drinking. I do wish they would turn the fountain lights on more.

Is that the Moon floating just to the left of the DEC approximately three-quarters of the way up?  Wow!  Charlotte is so beautiful at night.

In my opinon, CLT would look significantly prettier with a little more green paint on the asphalt and a lot more consideration for all roadway users -especially people on foot and on bike.  Glad to see the protected bike lane demo in Uptown this weekend.

SouthEnd, Midtown, Morehead and uptown are nearly contiguous at this point. SouthEnd is impressive. It's not longer just a few bland apartments lining South Blvd. It's actually very lively along the rail trail and in general a nice place. I'm surprised it's all coming together

I think The Southern End of Noda, Morehead, And Northern parts of South end are all going to mesh together into Uptown, Give it about 5 - 10 Years and the Skyline should cross over the 277 Loop into South End, At least I hope.

Found this awesome youtube clip of driving around Charlotte back in 1969!

I figured out some of the locations:

0:10 Could be West Charlotte High School, but I'm not sure.

0:16 The old Tryon St! Today, that stretch looks unrecognizable.

0:25 Charlotte Chamber building and Latta Arcade on the left. Today, this section of Tryon is lined with trees.

0:36 Old Belk store at Trade & Tryon. Today, BofA stands tall.

1:12 Is this section of I-85.  Changed a lot since then.

1:44 Is this section of I-85 in Gaston County.
