True, but I love the glimpses of the skyline you get on I-85 near Mallard Creek and again near Graham Street. Really gives you the sense that Charlotte covers 300 sq miles because you’ve been driving in the city limits for what feels like forever and then you see the towers still way off and you realize that’s the center of town, and you realize there's a whole other side that stretches down to Carowinds. Makes you say "wow this is really a big city".

How does a space like this get built?  By that I mean it looks like it contributes nothing to the ROI of the building and would be VERY costly to make a reality. 

I'm not complaining just curious what people think.  Charlotte needs more decision makers like the person that made this space and thus the design of the building happen.

Wachovia top execs would have signed off on this building in 2007 08 then taken over by Wells Fargo
