I've been experimenting with a 3D terrain generator for Photoshop.  Here is Charlotte's topography; the northeast to southwest ridge through uptown is clear.

Irwin Creek is on the left (west) and Little Sugar Creek is on the right (east) of uptown.

Snow in Clt was pretty’s unfortunately the southeast side didn’t get much at all.

I didn’t take this picture. I may have spruced it up a little bit. Found it on a friend’s Facebook. Looks like it was taken From Presbyterian, I mean Novant Health.

Good photo. I visited a friend who was in the psychiatric level of Presby for a while. At that time it was on the top floor of the original building and had great views such as this. 

Top floor because it was easier to control access. Down only from there.

Check out this view from the air quality cam tonight, showing a layer of fog. Almost gives the illusion the skyline is floating.

Would love to see photo from this angle of the skyline circa 1980-85.  What a contrast that would be!

My wife interviewed at Presbyterian and CMC at the same time.  Had she seen this view, maybe she would have chosen Presby.

However, this view’s allure could not be resisted (together with the fact that it’s one of the best universities in the world).

In addition of navigators great pics... here is mine from today.  The departure vectors were awesome today.  Side note:  the terminal B renovations do not look very good, seems like a big miss in terms of design and material choices.  It looks like it has already aged very poorly and it's a fresh renovation.  I don't understand  CLT's color palette.  Coming from MIA today, it's so much roomier, inviting and a more pleasant place to transit thru.

I have a love/hate relationship with how hard it is to capture our entire skyline from many angles.  This is one of my favorites because of the buzz of new construction in 3rd Ward, but you can barely see my favorite building in the city (Hearst Tower).  300 South Tryon is a beautiful building that is often hidden
