Charlotte Photo of the Day

Okay I have collected these photos from the last month before Thanksgiving.  I call this Trees across Charlotte  and this is first gallery of my favorite Christmas trees across Charlotte.  I will post some more later.  

Merry Christmas!  I will resume building and skyline photos 12/26

1. Founders Hall.  2. Founders Hall  3. First Citizens Bank bldg 4. Hearst Plaza (this is my absolute favorite and their decorations are the BEST of any uptown tower) 

5. Best hotel decorations of course the Ritz Carlton hands down.  6.7.8. all the Ritz Carlton Hotel. 

9.  3 Wells Fargo 10.  5/3 Bldg.  another Cousins property (Hearst too)

the rest of the best of trees and my uptown tower winner would be........ Cousins Properties and Hearst Plaza and 2nd place 300 South Tryon Barings.   Airport gets the award for best tree outside of uptown.    Please notify management for their prizes which will be a dozen doughnuts from Charlotte's own Krispy Kreme.

Good pictures, but this has to be the tackiest tree around there lol. I liked the "artistic" ones though, specially the one made with plastic bottles, gives Charlotte a bit of an urban feel.

I love the giant ornament. It was one of the things I remember most about uptown when I was younger. Used to mostly go during Christmas time.

Taking a few days break taking photos of new high rises, construction sites, steel rising, skyscrapers but don't worry I will be back on track in a few days.  As it is Christmas here are some photos of my Christmas village at casa de KJ.  The  sister city of Charlotte Bayside is displayed.   Merry Christmas!

1. Bayside main shopping area (you know I would have a McDonalds and the Cracker Barrel is for mom Starbucks to left)

2. Of course there is a Krispy Kreme and next door is the Harley dealer for my biker friends

3. Like South Blvd in South End bit of a traffic problem at my Lowes, Publix and Chick-fil-a. We have Elon Musk and his Boring Co. looking into tunnels for the drive through where you would speed through pay and receive your sandwich and then shoot out of the tunnel to eliminate drive through  back ups.

4. Industrial park no Pepsi here.

5. My residential neighborhood with rescue scene at house as a cat is a stuck on the roof.  

6. Downtown business district train station in the corner home of the MINX light rail line not shown.  Casino pays most of the cost of the light rail line.  Yes that is an Eckerds to the left.

Took an uptown walkabout late this afternoon to walk off some of what I have ate in the last 48 hours LOL  uptown was busier than I thought.  Gamecock fans in the Hilton Uptown for the Belk Bowl already and tourists wandering around.  A few dog walkers and scooters too.  Anyway some general shots of this and that. 

Trees at 400 N Tryon breezeway, ice skating rink at the Nascar Plaza, the tree inside the Hilton Uptown (very nice) and the rest you probably all recognize. 

a few restaurants were open McCormick and Schmicks and Chima and this coffee shop  at the Marriott.  Those  are just the ones I noticed.  Plus RiRa and some others nearby. 

Charlotte is a great looking city any day of the year.
