Good evening, UP. I’m a long time lurker, but first time poster. I figured this would be a good time to start. Long story, short, my partner had some good friends in town from frigid Southern Wisconsin this weekend. This was their first trip to NC, and they wanted to see the city. They were both floored (after the sun came out) at the beauty of Charlotte. Being a native, it’s always fun to show off the city on a great day! Hope you all enjoy the pictures and I’m excited to be a poster on here!

Not sure. They were on a trailer around stuff that looked like parade floats (but most were covered with tarps). It was the Hal Marshall Annex lot at the light rail and 11th street.

I thought that they were a little too big for the CableBox scoreboard, but I am a lousy judge of that stuff.

My understanding is that they are in fact the ones from the old jumbotron. Some of them have been used on floats for the Thanksgiving Day Parade over the last couple years.
