^^  And Lennars new 30+ story apartment tower will look right into it as it is across 9th St there.  I am sure it will go when that block is developed but I think that is owned by Levine not sure.

Once that block is developed it will be nice, But for now it’s easily one of the most ugly angles of Uptown due to the parking lots and the cell tower.

Not the best of days for a photo but here is the South Tryon shot that will change greatly in the next 2 years. 

By the way College and Stonewall St closings has caused commuter chaos uptown saw it after rush hour.

Yes they were trying to market the site as a high rise but not sure where that went nothing active right now as far as I know

The amount of density the skyline has packed on over the last 10-15 years is absolutely amazing. Probably one of  biggest CBD changes in the country over the same time period. I peruse many of the other development forums from time to time (UP will always be home) and you used to see trash posts about Charlotte's skyline fairly regularly, not so much anymore. 

From that angle North Tryon has its own little skyline too. It's kinda cute.

well north Tryon is going to get a new tallest by 50 feet, and gain one more 193' building. I think we will see a tower soon in Spirit Square, so hopefully it'll be more cohesive between the bulk of the skyline and N. Tryon by 2021.

Same here. As long as theres a new tallest before I check out of this CF called life. Im 40, but I hope I dont have to wait til Im 80. Cheers!

I love the North Tryon Skyline and It will grow even larger. I open it stays separated from the Main Skyline. We should see another one of these form in South End.

The only thing missing from the drive thru video is a 5 level stack interchange from 77 to 277....I can really see the age of both of those highways.  I hope all of Char;ottes infrastructure get a massive upgrade soon.  Great video though thanks for sharing.

Not a good picture, but I've always loved this angle of the skyline.

p.s. That oncoming line of buses is presumably the Green Bay motorcade heading to South Park.

No one day I smelled what I thought was papermaking  which is common in Charleston and Savannah too but no cat urine. Clear clean air.

Very good. Just wanted to know if you could confirm the smell. This is the first I've ever heard about a cat smell in Wilmington. LOL

I second that. Charlotte has one of the best skylines in the South, maybe second to Atlanta. It has the look and feel of an All-American city.
