Mostly the beer and the extreme distance, but whatever.

Maybe we need a Photo of the Day series.......the city as seen from each brewery.  I know the view from Catawba is cool.  And here's my shot from Sycamore last Sunday.......but just outside the fence thus no beer is visible:

This ice cream better be good. 30 min standing in line. Luckily it’s a beautiful night and we had nothing else to do. I love how walkable and alive Southend is becoming. There are people everywhere tonight.

Just drove from OKC to San Antonio.  Its been a while since I've seen SA.

  35south thru Dallas is amazing for skyline freaks like me.   More impressive than ATL...dont @me bro.   Very Impressive.  3rd time I've done that still get chills.  Especially at night.  Austin skyline seems spread out, very linear and  needs to fill in the gaps. Good height but just not grouped close enought to get that wow.  More on that later.  SA is gritty and I like it.

Charlotte is on its way to impressive.  The gaps have been filled so you get an eyeful of buildings with no  space peeking thru.  That matters a lot in terms of perception of fullness and city feel.  One thing though, sightlines for CLT's skyline is poor.  Hate to say it too many trees block great urban vista views.  35 north in Austin is a perfect example of a money shot.  Hopefully I can get one on my way back.

Agree and that 85 and 77 dont really get close to Uptown as you drive by either. The density has greatly improved but I hope we can start building taller towers off of Tryon. I know that's our money street but towers like FNB and Market 42 will definitely help. In regard to your city feel comment, I call it the 360 test. Can I do a full circle and be surrounded by towers or see them in the distance (density test really).

Miscellaneous building uptown today.  Gorgeous day.   sorry for the overload I can't help it if our city is beautiful. There were some interesting shadows on buildings today.  I can't tell you how much I love 300 South Tryon Barings building.

I know I've said this before and I'll say it again, once the North Tryon plan kicks off and if Levine figures his $#!+ out then the full skyline will be massive. I'm hoping for a few more towers around the height of what we are already seeing (Market 42, Carolina Theater, etc) with a steady stepdown to around ten or so stories abutting 277. A dense skyline from loop end to loop end would be a beautiful sight.
