You all know of that picture that was taken of that military plane flying over Charlotte? I saw it.....but i wasnt able to obtain a copy of it. it was absically a shot of the plane, which was kinda a grey or brown color, flying over the city, and the two most prominent buildings were the bank of america hq and heart tower. the plane appeared to be flying over first ward, so you can imagine the angle from the air. it was neat.

I'd say it is about even, with wachovia still taller, you need to take a look at the westside webcam. Keep in mind the first 7 or 8 floors of wachovia are double floor height, and Catalyst is a residential tower, even if it is at around 14-15 floors now, its probably shorter than Wachovia.

I was on the 13th floor of the Energy Center today, and yes, Wachovia is still taller.

Actually, let me rephrase that. Wachovia is higher, in relation to somebody on the 13th floor of the energy center. The lot that Catalyst sits on *might* be at a lower elevation than Wachovia's, so Catalyst might be taller from base to top. But that's just nit-picking.

I've never seen so many people in downtown Charlotte...from March 1st with the CIAA in town:

Agreed, we there for Stomp, and walked for several hours afterward enjoying a drink at a few different places, it was a zoo. I loved it, and it was notable how many sidewalk vendors were out, you'd think you were somewhere else.

Sidewalk vendors have a real market since there is otherwise little no NO retail in the city. Maybe I'll start a sidewalk department bookstore :whistling:

Maybe this is what Charlotte is now. So maybe we can think we're in Charlotte :)

WOW Cyrusuncc - That is a great shot. Where did you take it from? I have seen this angle in several photos but have not been able to figure it out yet.

Its the Central Avenue Bridge, Its also the best place to take a pano, it makes charlotte look very big thanx to the Blake and the Government buildings, but nobody ever shoots panos here. HINT HINT.

From S Cedar St across the Panther's practice field. This is probably the last hurrah for my G3 - my new XTi and accompanying lenses should be in soon :D

And, for good measure, Johnson Wales. The careful eye will spot the security gaurd that was afraid I was taking photos of the crappy BofA office building there. BofA can eat me.
