Here's a "historic vs new" of Ericsson Stadium in the fall of '96 and today. The new pic is from the BofA stadium twitter page, here. Notice how all the trees around the stadium are fully grown now. It's hard to tell there is even a parking lot there.

A few shots from Uptown’s forgotten park and forgotten 4 star hotel. Had planned on staying at the Kimpton, but Le Meridien had a ridiculous rate for this week. Figured the view would be worth it too. Was not disappointed.

Anyone know why everything was purple the other night?   Also, that new bank of america building didn't get the color quite right and made me sad.  All the other buildings matched perfectly, but not that garbage cap on top of that ugly thing.

Yes just follow them the Wells Fargo Lights and they will tell you every day they do a color in honor of something.  very interesting.

I actually thought the pinkish/purplish color on top of LU looked good with the rest of the purple. Thought it all went together well with different shades of purple.

Seeing the new lighting systems is one of my fav things when a new building is done. They are getting cooler and cooler. During LBGT weekend  the city look amazing. I love when they do the whole building and not just the crown.

I guess I won't tell you about the time I spent $10 for a Coors Light at a dive bar across from MSG.  Twenty years ago.

Hot take: OMB makes beer that I personally don't care for.  Drinking  €3 liters of Helles at Oktoberfest in Munich a few months ago, then coming back through CLT and being reminded of the $9 pint of swill OMB serves at the airport didn't do it any favors in my mind either.
