That was the original location for Ascent, needs soil reclamation I heard, no idea why.

Right!! I want that rectangle block in between the ballpark and Ascent to be filled first! Ugh. I really big hotel would work nicely there.

We need something to cover up Ascents parking deck from the ball park view. I hate seeing baseball pictures with that deck dead center.

Wow. These shots are great. What a great vantage looking down the rail line. Duke, FNB, Honeywell, and all the South End towers are going to make this view extremely impressive in a couple years. Go Charlotte!

It's not that BOA HQ isn't a beautiful structure, nor that the WSOC web cam will ultimately be the picture by which 'murkah knows the WC, but I'm really into the idea that there are gonna be a lot of pics in the next few years in which the Legacy Bunion side of the city stands alone with BOA and Hearst barely or not even visible.  So, with that said, let me contradict myself and share a screen grab of a Carolina Panthers video making the rounds on social media.  Is dope:

Yo, KJHBURG, I haven't caught you on the airport thread. Please use your ( or Gman's) extremely artistic eye for some updated  airport construction pics. I imagine that the lack of traffic has to make it faster for them to work!

I don't think Gman could get his drone anywhere near the airport, thats a big no no.

my airport ID is temporarily off line as my volunteer job over there is suspended right now due to the virus.  Sorry.  I guess I could do a drive by since there is not much traffic over there.

Went on a walk a few evenings ago. Due to a nice combination of storm damage, construction  and apocalyptic-levels of traffic, I was able to stand in the middle of Trade Street and snap a couple shots. This has seriously been one of the best April’s we have had in terms of Sunny days.
