The windows were not - I repeat - were NOT installed yet. My friend wasn't anywhere near as excited as I was. Before I knew it, I was looking over the edge... Crazy right!? 

Just when the idea of how dangerous our adventure was setting in a panicked voice yells out, "How did you kids get up here!? You're gonna get all of us fired!" Somehow it was like he had all three of us by the ear walking us back to the elevator. But, before he sent us down he gave us a nugget of info I'll never forget. He said, "if one of you were to jump before we headed back down, the elevator is so fast the rest of us would make it down soon enough to see the landing." Also crazy!

Anyway, sorry for the long post. This picture just brought that memory back up.

I live only a few miles from the old PTL site. Really sad to see this in decay.

Haha I was just reading about the specifics so I can try. I only have lenses that go up to 300mm so I'm not going to get anything with great detail. I know of some folks in here with top-notch equipment that should try

 

Something a little different for the photo of the day. I like the gritty area off Seaboard St and the views you can get.

I am planning on trying to. My largest lens only goes up to 200mm. Trying to figure out a few places in the area that might be ideal to try to photograph it.

I'd like to try 7th Street Station, but I tend to get bothered by security every time I take a camera out up there. They'll definitely shut me down if I get the tripod set up.

On second thought,  a quick trip to the mountains wouldn't hurt.  Great vistas up there.

BofA reflection  captured in Darth Vader aka Charlotte Plaza today.  Drive by.

When I first moved to Charlotte back in 1984, Charlotte Plaza building was one of the few taller buildings.  I took an immediately liking  to this building.  The black glass stepping up the building really sets it off.  After all these years it still remains one of my favorites.  Nice photo KJHburg.

They grow in NC naturally but I don’t think on this side. Lol maybe a good bit more east.
