Travelled to the ring city of Kannapolis today for the turkey and so forth.  Their downtown is so nice and attracted walkers even when everything is closed.  There is a huge sense of pride in their new downtown and I agree.  With the NC Research Campus at the north end of downtown the transformation of this downtown is truly incredible.  I will put the rest under ring cities.

this is one fine looking city on this spring like day.  Never tire of the view up 277 from 77 John Belk.   and from LoSo I like this view too.  notice the blossoming Southend skyline.    Charlotte is getting thic  and I remember when people said Uptown was a 1 street town LOL.

Southend's midrises are a breath of dense air among sparse southern neighbourhoods.

I'm so proud of Charlotte, it's built some truly urban fabric in the 33 years I've existed.

Helped a neighbor move into the Museum Tower yesterday. 18th floor with some pretty awesome views.

Last picture is from my house of the new Truist Tower sign. Still not a fan of it at all BUT it looks a lot better illuminated at night than it does during the day. I didnt realize initially the actual sign would light up also.

Christmas county USA:   Gaston County with the lights at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens and the town of McAdenville.  This evening.  

If any of great photographers can catch it check out the scarlet red on the Truist Tower tonight.  

sorry no skyline or high rise shots but it the holiday season.  McAdenville's tiny downtown has been revitalized I was unaware of the  little shops and a restaurant or two.  Will check out in the daylight some time.

The sun setting to our southwest, and the higher elevation of Southend makes it one of the best places for sunset in Charlotte.

I hope to get down the road to the Garden to see this year's lights.  Need to make a reservation though.  I am more stoked about this year's installation of lights at the Whitewater Center.  I was blown away by the cool light show last year!  From what I have seen, this year seems to be bigger and better!  Thanks for sharing those pics so far!!

I like how that one electric tower extends up into the skyline in the shape of a cool building. Would be awesome to have something actually that size and shape filling that void in the skyline!

It’s Christmas time in the city! Fifth Third has one of my favorite lighting schemes this time of year with the red and green. Truist was only partially lit tonight, but the signs were a lot brighter than the purple lighting.
