By far my favorite view of our skyline, I think its the only view that gives us an accurate representation of all our main towers.
KJHburg 69529 Report post Posted December 31, 2020 I hope some of our great UP photographers can get a photo of this new year's eve even if it is raining or cloudy. from Twitter tonight. The Charlotte Ledger @CltLedger · 1h Inbox: Uptown skyline will be lit in purple on New Year's Eve to honor those affected by Covid. KJHburg 69529 Report post Posted January 2 I think Camden is one of the best streets in town with the varied architecture low and high rise etc. View up South Tryon is among my favorite skyline shots.

tozmervo 8549 Report post Posted January 5 I love it. Someone on r/Charlotte complained about there being too many skyline shots, and in classic internet response now virtually every new post is a skyline shot 4

JorgiPorgi 6234 Report post Posted January 13 (edited) One of my friends flew in from South America and took this shot. Really shows the expansion into Southend. I hope this can keep up into the next few years. Photo credit: Rob Vera Instagram. Edited January 13 by JorgiPorgi

Hushpuppy321 1745 Report post Posted January 14 It just amazes me that in a few short years (if growth & tower development continue) that Charlottes Skyline will rival Minneapolis & Denver. Those two cities have benefits that CLT doesn't.

Those two cities have benefits that CLT doesn't. I'd say Charlotte already has a better skyline than Denver. For a city of its size, Denver has an incredibly dull and boring skyline. Denver definitely beats Charlotte in downtown street activation and urban livability though. Minneapolis and Charlotte both have beautiful skylines. Minneapolis has the benefit of some incredible architecture, older buildings, and a really lovely riverwalk that adds a lot of visual interest. And density. Their skyline punches below their weight-class whereas I think Charlotte punches above ours.
JorgiPorgi 6234 Report post Posted January 14 Explosion of growth in the south side of uptown. Never thought this side would get so dense just a decade ago.
KJHburg 69529 Report post Posted January 17 Back in town driving around a bit before/after lunch got these shots. Love the views from the westside from Wilkinson and from those down by Scaleybark station. If they build a high rise there they will have fantastic views. and the coming up South Tryon is one of my favorite views too.

If you look between the 2 LU towers, you can already see DEC 2 rising.
