Come to think of it, I haven’t seen the entire tower lit for a while now. I wonder why they made that decision.

Yesterday evening it was a full blown casino light show. It looked like they had fireworks shooting up the corners and the top looked like an arcade.  I hope someone grabbed a video of it.

Last huge lot fronting Romare and the ball park...honestly, I can't believe a developer hasn't snatched this up yet (keep Greens of course).  This lot will complete the canyon effect.

welcome back UP!   the skyline from the LoSo station station aka Scaleybark site.   Check out the burgeoning Southend skyline soon to be joined by many more towers I have heard rumors of coming together.

I agree! It would be a great spot for a huge hotel and some great retail. Just no more apartments in that area. J could even see an office tower but a hotel there would be ideal.

Not sure where to post this but here's a satellite timelapse of Charlotte (and anywhere else) with Google Earth.

Expect this shot to greatly change within 5 years with multiple high rises and mid rises and the Medical school in this shot.  I know of one mid rise on Morehead, rumors of another high rise residential tower and then of course the Medical school buildings.   Midtown will be Rising!

Uptown was actually looking back to normal today lots of people on the streets, scooting around, millenials taking their parents on tours, people in the parks, restaurants, museums etc.  Saw a good number of people at the Home2Suites on Stonewall too. It was good to see!  The Greystar uptown stunner the Ascent looked good and maybe another tower from them in central Charlotte.   What a great spring day!

Behold- the tallest residential tower between Atlanta and Philadelphia.  The Vue at Dusk last evening.

Atlanta and New York*! Ritz Residences in Philly is 42 feet shorter than the Vue. The Atlantic in Atlanta is only 17 feet taller than the Vue.

If only they built those spires!
