I took a many a picture in Founders during the Charlotte Bobcats' 2004 NBA Expansion draft LOL. There were almost no other fans in there, just workers invited in after work for free beers and t shirts.

Google needs to get Charlotte's aerial view updated big time, especially in the downtown/Southend area.   I noticed recently, that some of the surrounding cities including Kannapolis, Concord and Gastonia with their new baseball stadium(see below) which just opened earlier this year, are updated from about 2-3 months ago

that surface parking lot (for now) at Camp Northend has wonderful views of the skyline. 

Half of our skyline the north half is even very impressive by Carolinas standards.

that is the side view  of the ugly Duke Energy building the grey concrete one that soon will be for sale on S Church.

Oh, was the other wing (with the neon sculpture) added later? I'm having trouble making the visual connection between that photo and the current building.

yes I think that is what happened making an L.  That building is so ugly I try not to look at it closely.

My first memory of the Charlotte skyline is driving Independence after being at whats now Park Expo. I can vividly remember the BOCC probably up to at least 40 floors. I was in awe. Great picture btw!
