Charlotte Photo of the Day

I remember this Charlotte and most of the high rises featured are still there just buried in our much taller denser skyline.

this is actually closer to uptown than the "before" photo, but trees blocked the pipe foundry so I went further up.

Looks like an atomic bomb went off because of the lack of trees. Or somewhere out west. I suppose 77 was so new that many of the trees had been recently cleared.

I-77 was still definitely new and it also had a grass median as KJ's pic shows.

Charlotte seemed much more treeless in the past from what I’ve seen in these older photos.

Visited my first WeWork this past weekend at the Regions location. Very nice. Is this the best location in Charlotte? Was debating the other location uptown at first Citizens. Also, the picture doesn’t do this justice but there’s nowhere in the Carolina’s that you can experience this kind of density with that height surrounding you. Love the different layers and if you look carefully, you can see the Vue peeking through. Pretty cool experience walking out on the balcony area too.

Any of my fellow UP'ers follow the AmericanSkyline gram page? Charlotte is oft featured, and this particular recent shot has close to 10 x more likes than any of the other featured skylines from around the US.

I have seen discussion on other forums (like Reddit subs on skyscrapers and cities) about how great Charlotte's skyline is. I also know a few people who visited from elsewhere and unprovoked brought up how great the skyline was. It is definitely considered by many to be an underrated gem.
