Indeed. It appears to be taken from N Davidson at Jordon Place/28th Ro. It would make for a good place to watch an advancing storm coming from the west.

I read in the paper this AM that the Duke Tower will be deck out with LED lights from top to botton. can't wait to see that on Monday night football.

I really like the presence that the new BofA tower is having next to Hearst from that angle.

Looking north at the at the city is pretty interesting. I know if you travel on 160 in Fort Mill, that when you go over 77 you get that same sorta angle, pretty neat that it can be seen from there from about 15 miles away.

^Awesome shots! I'm glad you got those. We were just up the road at North Charlotte Park watching the same thunderhead come in. We all commented that it looked like the alien space ship in Independence Day.

Wicked! You don't see wall clouds in this area very often. With just a little more rotation, that storm probably would have dropped a tornado.
