Great shots krazeeboi! The Vue really stands out in the second one...I wasn't expecting it to look so tall and slender. Nice surprise. When did you take these photos?

Amazing shots Jersey Boy! So what is the reoccuring pattern for lighting up the Carrilon building pink? Wasnt lit all summer but this fall and last fall it is / has been lit. I like it and I think they should keep it. Think its breast cancer awareness related?

great pics JerseyBoy. Does anybody else wish the Independence building (right across from BOA CC) were taller? And by looking at the pic towards Aloft, I wish 210 Trade were built and the hideous blank wall of the Omni were actually a triangular tower with ground floor shopping, and the BB&T tower had better street presence....oh well, still doesn't diminish the quality of the pics...once again, great job JerseyBoy!

I was in town last week for a wedding, and I was busy trying to replicate this shot

which is from the top of a government building on tipton drive. I was unable to get the shot thanx to not being a government employee. However, I found a better place to take picture, where it is, I will not share. But its my new favorite skyline view, if I could just get rid of the power lines.

Yeah, I am surprised that there aren't more pics taken from "da hood" areas of NW central Charlotte. This area has great skyline views. Also, there is a pedestrian bridge over I-77 near Oaklawn. I have not been on this bridge in years, however I am sure that bridge has an awesome skyline view. The only problem is one would have to aim their camera lens through the fence that surrounds the bridge to avoid any obstructions. Edited October 13, 2009 by urban980

That area is a tough cookie because the light conditions can be very challenging. You're looking South at Uptown, so the skyline is usually back lit by the sun.
