At least the general public seating is on the other side and has good views... Tough luck for people paying to rent out the private room, I guess.

To be fair, even from that side your peripheral view is going to easily include Nascar, Hotel Sierra (whichever hyatt that is now), Courtside, maybe part of the arena. I know its not spectacular but its not totally without points of interest. It will look better in person than that picture especially at night.

It'll also look miles better during the spring and summer when everything isn't dead. Lots of trees in that pic.

I think they should have left it "red, white, blue, red, white, blue" like it was during the DNC.  That looked GREAT.

I like the new lights from the brief clip that Mazzo showed. Looks pretty cool and compliments, to a degree, the Duke Energy Center.

I wish Bank of America would get with the picture. Many of the other buildings uptown are getting the LED update. How cool would it be if the crown had colors constantly changing.

Amen. As much as I don't an excissively colorful skyline, but in certain places it can/will work.

That is NOT the view from Farenheit. Maybe from the elevator corridor, but not the restaurant. Check out my post in the Good New Restaurants thread in the Coffee House for the real view. I was up there today. Probably the best view in Charlotte of the skyline.

Pretty cool ideas. Funny (ironic) about converting Plaza/Midwood to two lanes with parallel parking during "off hours", is that, as far as I can tell, there are no off hours. Central is always packed with traffic.
