The City Council will hold its annual public hearing on the city's budget tomorrow (wednesday) night, City Council Chambers, 6 pm.

If you want to talk about the street sweeping schedule or property taxes or why something isn't getting done in the city that impacts your quality of life, or how come the school department needs so much money or why we have dog parks or any number of things that you complain about or discuss here, tomorrow, 6 pm City Council Chambers is the place to do it.

In the past I have gone and there have been fewer than 15 people out of the entire city there to speak about the state of the city's finances.

Unfortunately there's not much notice to these things, but since we're already more than halfway thru the first month of the fiscal year I suppose we should just be glad it is happening.
