Do you think Lansing is a factory town?

It is, but on a smaller scale than in the past.

GM now has 5,901 workers at its Lansing operations. That's down 35.1 percent from the 9,092 workers the carmaker had in Lansing in 2003, the last time a contract with the United Auto Workers union was negotiated.

Sparrow, with hospitals in Lansing, St. Johns and Carson City, has 7,254 employees.
