Detroit Stock Exchange

So, 150 West Jefferson has been said to be on the site of the Detroit Stock Exchange. I had always wondered what the building looked like, and I never knew, and then I ran across a website with a photo.

It was on Griswold, on what looks to be the middle of the block.

It's too bad it was demolished, it looks like it went really well with the rest of Griswold. And as far as I know, there isn't anything significant on that area of 150 West Jefferson either.

It was razed for parking. Some of the relief sculptures were used as decorative elements for 150 West Jefferson.

That's a pretty modest building. Given Detroit's eminence back in the day, I would have expected something more substantial.

Yeah, I had assumed that it was where the tower of 150 W. Jefferson is today, and that it had a larger floor area. For some reason I also assumed that it was a lot older too.
