Skyscrapers are silly for Nashville, we'll never have enough of them compared to places like Chi-town and NYC, plus, if you're in one of those cities and actually out on the street you've got to walk around with your head tilted back at an uncomfortable angle just to see the tops of them and you might get trampled or hit by a taxi or something.

How 'bout something more reasonable like these river fronts instead:

Architectural styles are subject to change/modification but hey, there's a landscape out there and one can see it despite all them buildings! Nashville has hills (ok, maybe much lower than these, but), too. Let's not obliterate them with towers.

^Hopefully, cities that come to prominence in the 21st century won't blindly follow their 20th century predecessors. Some people are coming to the realization that our industrial economies aren't built on pixie dust but rather oil, which is messy on a whole bunch of levels and instead of waiting for the elevator to stop on five different floors before it gets to yours, hell, one can just walk down the stairs. Those cities might look boring as postcards (hard to believe), but a funny thing I noticed in Europe, people are in much better shape than here in the States. Cans of worms, but against my better judgment...
