Fast Ferry Connects Toronto to Rochester

I've taken the (slow) Ft. Gaines-Ft. Morgan auto ferry in Alabama several times.

Austal USA (Australian company) manufactures some ferries in Mobile, and there has been talk of eventually adding a "fast ferry" network around Mobile Bay:

It's good to see what a fast ferry service looks like.

Nice! Reminds me of ferries in Europe. They could use one of these on the Outer Banks. The current ferry ride is almost 3 hours.

It's amazing that the Great Lakes haven't really been used as a transportation mode in terms of people. This is good news for both Toronto and Rochester, it will improve both their respective tourist economies. However, Toronto still hasn't completed its ferry terminal, and it won't be done in time for the June start date. People from Rochester will be arriving to a tent instead of a nice looking building.
