Florala

I was driving through Florala today on my way to the beach and was amazed at the downtown renewal going on. It's like a completely different city. It's easy to see someone decided enough was enough watching the core buildings deteriorate. I'll try to snap some pics on my way back up US-331 next week.

That's one of my favorite small towns in Alabama - close enough to the FL beaches to enjoy whenever they want, yet just far enough away to not worry about hurricanes & to enjoy AL's low property taxes.

Ah it's been years since I've been through Florala and the last time I was through there, the downtown area was in bad need of repair. Please snap some shots to share w/ us nashscan if you have time.

You gotta love a town who's name is derived from two states. :)

There is a good seafood restaurant (Can't remember the name) on the corner or 331 and 55 (where you turn to go to Crestview). Its a buffet style and its great. They really pile the food on your place...the alaskan crab legs are wonderful.
