GM seeks development plans for site east of RenCen

how cool is this?

and more importantly, replacing a surface parking lot!

typically these bidding processes are open for 30-90 days. So we may hear some good news by the end of summer.

GM alreadly owns the land, so no hitches there, the only problem would be rezoning, so lets hope the CC is on board.

Its also great to see GM keep up its commitment to city of detroit. Obviously they'll be making off this, but its another great step

Wow, this is awesome news. I'm glad to see one of Detriot's corporate residents is playing up redevelopment DT. This is an excellent sign of the progress of redevelopment efforts. Big thumbs up to GM.

Yeah, this is great news. Replacing Riverfront parking! Our riverfront is pathetic right now...so many parking lots and parking decks. This will at least change a portion of it. I just hope that City Council doesn't hold up the process too much. They have a way of doing that....No wonder so few people want to invest in the city with the complicated building approval process in the city!
