So has an H&M been confirmed for the Florida Mall? (Or is this artist renderng just someone's pipe dream?)

If you check out the links noted before - you get to the PDF for the renovation of the Lord & Taylor site on the Simon website - and there they indicate a proposed Borders, proposed Dick's Sporting Goods and proposed H&M --- seeing this is a pretty good sign they have some sort of letter / agreement of intent with these companies --- at least more than an artist wishful thinking ;-)

Now my hope is the area around Millenia be "improved" to add more retail - like another H&M, a full size Crate & Barrel, etc. --- since except for maybe this new section, Florida Mall is a pit - with low ceilings, a confusing floor plan, and a bad location - too far from downtown and from I-4 - fingers crossed ;-)

I'm confused... the power center on Sand lake-- article states just east of kirkman; the Lake Cay deal is west of Kirkman-- different project?

What is H and M?

Maybe Dick's will come to Seminole County to compete with Sports Authority?

How about MCSPORTS Outdoor Center?

More Malls need to Expand here.

not to split hairs, but that's factually inaccurate.

the two latest expansions, where Macy's and Nordstrom are, have high ceilings and are quite nice. that section makes up close to 1/2 the square footage of the Mall; not to mention the central area where the candy store and coffee shop are and the hotel entrance.

this new open air section will merely continue what the latest two expansions started.

I have to agree. I would say that half of the mall is the pitts. The Nordstrom, Macy's, & Saks side is slowly getting better. They still need to get rid of those stands in the middle of the walkways with hair straighteners, cell phones, and jewelry cleaning vendors that are very aggressive and give the mall a flea market atmosphere. Still, they've had several stores & restaurants open up in this side of the mall (Adrenalina, Apple, MNG, M&M's, Buca, California Pizza, Salsa) and some reopenings (Limited, Sephora, Charlotte Russe) and additional seating and flat screens that give it a better feel. They are also adding restaurants directly outside of the mall (Panera, Hu Hut) that is making it more bearable to go and shop at.
