I was doing some research about the Memphis Athletic Campus(MAC)

is it possible that one of the goals for building this is to host the AAU Junior Olympics?

I hope that the city will pursue this once the MAC is done. This could generate serious economic impact for the City. Anyone else have any thoughts? I really believe this is just one more step in making Memphis a World Class City Here's the Link

I think we hosted this event in 1976 & 1982. I don't think this event is big enough to put the city in the worlds spotlight but it wouldn't hurt to have it here again.

I wish they'd put some campus-style residences with ground level retail around the perimeter of the complex.

Also, you mention two distinct things -- home and hosting. They don't mean the same thing. Would this be a one-time event? An annual thing? Or are we thinking of becoming the headquarters for AAU? The effect of the community with each option is different.

Headquarters would be ideal but I don't think that are looking to relocate at this time.

So anually would certainly be good.
