Nobody will say it outright, because FOTC is being very secretive of this project in general, but I got the impression that the hotel sheer core will continue construction after more progress has been made on the foundation, and the lower portion of the building. There are some really really really unique construction methods that I'll be highlighting on my social media in the next few days.

Idk sounds like excuses to me [emoji849]. They ran out of money. Calling it now this project isn’t finishing until 2030 if ever. Yeah actually it’s dead in the water. Now we have to look at this concrete monstrosity right next to Truist and BOfA Corporate. Just a couple blocks from Trade and Tryon. City isn’t gonna do anything about it. Just Terrible. What is that now 37 stalled projects mostly hotels here now?
Oh well I don’t like this building anyway. It’s just a 420ft variation of a glass box.

All the ground work has been completed for the basement of the Theatre section, expect rebar and concrete within a few weeks.

this photo is from Rio and as all of you know (I surely hope) Raleigh has no beaches and this was spread on facebook to show how stupid they think  people are during Corvid 19 in NC!    Looks more like Coney Island NY to me but what do I know.

They’ve built six floors. Six elevator shaft floors. In four months. I could have hired the guys I hired  to do my driveway and they would have Gotten as much done in six hours.

i’m not in the “work stopped” camp; I am in the “judge me by what I do not what I say” camp, and this is 1,000,000% hedging. 
 

But, yeah It should totally take a decade to build a pencil tower.

If you were to see my driveway, it’s more logistically challenging and took more concrete than this, so yeah, they did
