The hills and old architecture of Polish Hill, to me, make it a very quintessential Pittsburgh neighborhood. It's one of my favorites.

Maybe more than some of the other city neighborhoods, I think the health of Polish Hill is kind of an indicator of the overall health of the city. It's an old neighborhoods with unique, Pittsburgh charm, but also centrally located, near all of the action of the Universities and the East End. If the city is beginning to boom or thrive again, I think it will begin to show in this neighborhood.

Hopefully the positive momentum talked about in this article continues.

I love the s-turn on Herron ave. there aren't roads like that in many cities. Polish hill is just another one of Pittsburgh's small communities (that happens to be jammed up on a hillside and have a massive church dominating the area).
