Nashville Wiki Page

This has got to be one of the coolest new features here at UP.

There was no Nashville wiki page started yet, so I went ahead and started one...

Nashville Wiki

The Signature Tower wiki has also been started, with a basic structure for project pages.

This will be a great place to organize everything we all find out regarding projects going on in the area!

I don't know about everyone else, but I get a little tired of searching the forums to find out how many stories some proposed building is, or what the website for it is, or whatever.

For those not familiar with wiki's... it's basically a page that everyone (all forum members) can edit and update with accurate information.

So everyone... please help out and provide any info you can, so that one of these days we will have a great central location to find information!

oh yeah, how do you feel about creating default templates for different types of pages with me (ie a template for builsing, a template for neihborhoods, etc)?

Sounds like a plan. I have kinda created a 'template' of sorts for pages for buildings.... as you can see from the pages that are actually somewhat complete. But i'm interested in what you had in mind as well.

Looks pretty good.. pretty much what I was thinking/trying to do, too.

I definitely like the addition of an image gallery to the project pages. I hadn't thought of that.

Were you thinking the 'Buildings List' as being basically project pages for existing buildings? e.g. BellSouth

that is perfect use of them.

i am right now compiling the building list so i can give you an example. it will help clean up the main page for nashville too. i will send it as soon as i get done, maybe in the next day or two. it is a huge list of buildings.

hey jice, do you think we should place "nashville" at the end of all the page titles so that there is no confusion with other cities, and it keeps everything relative?

for example, when creating the pages you would do "At&T_Building_Nashville" instead of "AT&T_Building"

this is generic and does not associate with a city. if we put nashville there, there would be no confusion.

let me know, i will talk to neo to see if pages can be renamed too

Hey everyone, I thought I will try to help if I can. I thought of a building I didn't see on the list. The infamous BMI building. Well, actually someone asked for a picture of the 'hideous' building in the Lionstone project thread. So I made a new thread in the Coffee House so as not to get off topic (we know the moderators love that), but then realized that was stupid since we have the wiki page. Anyways, it looks like the list is from the emporis website, and I don't think they have the BMI building listed on there (I was looking for a picture on there).

Also, one other thing I thought of adding to the never built projects. I remember one time asking for a rendering for the City Center 2 building that was never built. By the way, I love that there is a list of projects never built, great add.

Thanks for the help! I added the two buildings you mentioned... and also added a picture of BMI thanks to PHofKS.

By the way... everyone... the wiki pages still have a LOT of work to be done on them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have any info to add, please let us know, or.. add it yourself if you want to and are able!

There are many pages that are not complete yet and are just using the template page... but there are some that have useful info... such as Signature Tower, SunTrust Plaza, and The Adelicia

What used to be the main Nashville page is now the Nashville Development Summary

The main Nashville page has been completely redesigned, and we also have a Nashville Wiki Project page for those who are interested in helping us out.

It may be good to add historic buildings as well such as the Parthenon, Ryman, L and C tower, etc.

I added most of the projects from smeagolsfree's project list thread, onto the Nashville Development wiki page. (thanks for the project list, btw) Still, we are in need of LOTS of information to add (and people to help add it!), in order to make this wiki page a real success. When I or RON-E have time, we'll add renderings to projects (unless someones else wants to!), and any info others can provide.

Info needed includes (but is not limited to):

Renderings (other than those included in the project list thread)

Dates - Groundbreaking, start of construction, end of construction, etc.

Addresses, areas of the city

Height, floors of buildings

Development info - architect, developer, etc

Official project websites

Current/latest news on the projects (and/or gossip)

History of the site of the project/building (what was on the site before, etc.)

Of course, when providing any info... if possible, please include a reference to where you obtained the info.

Much of this info can probably be found in the hundreds and thousands of pages in our forum here, or by searching via Google. Hard part is gathering it all for each and every project. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
