I was travelling back from Pittsburgh Saturday and took a photo op trip thru Fairmont, WV and hiked aroung the New River Bridge/Gorge area. Here are some of the pics...

Fairmont is still a struggling town. With the recent growth in the area, and the jobs pouring into the FBI Fingerprinting Center and technology park, this area should hopefully rebound.

^ Huntington is struggling in some areas, but their downtown is seeing a large construction and restoration boom, helped in part by Pullman Square and other downtown developments. Morgantown has a lot of downtown and university projects, including tie-ins with the riverfront. And Charleston is seeing one condominium tower going up, with two others planned. Martinsburg and the smaller towns closer to DC seem to be doing fair, from what I hear. But other WV towns and cities seem to be struggling on all fronts..
