aeronautical company moving to AA

in the State News, msu's newspaper, it mentioned, a new aeronautical company moving to ann arbor and 1250 jobs ! Granholm was mentioned saying how this shows michigan can compete and have a viable work force. I cant find the article, but I was wondering what makes ann arbor so attractive to these companies. It seems the only place that is attracting new diverse technology industries. and why not Detroit ? This is awesome for our region. I'll keep looking for the article

Ann Arbor is so attractive because it has a highly-educated population and a major university with a very strong engineering program. The University of Michigan makes a BIG difference.
