Public Museum to get $50 Million endowment

I had heard about the "Lending a Hand Across the Grand" black tie event tonight, but didn't realize how ambitious this undertaking was.

I'm sure part of it is that the big families don't want guests looking out the JW windows at a boarded up museum. Boy there are some deep pockets in this town.

I'm glad to see such a response to the Gala. Hopfully the endowment will keep the museum open a thriving for years to come.

This is wonderful news for the community! We all love the commercial developments funded by The Big Families. But I have to say, pure charity like this is also a great thing to see. I'm always proud to be a resident of Metro GR when stuff like this goes well.
