GE an Invista will invest 1.1 billion dollars in facilities and equipment in the area in return the county will give 13 million in incentives (over 12 years) to bring 950 high paying jobs to the area. The county Commissioners are expected to approve the incentives, unsure if this will include any state incentives. Do you think this is a good investment of tax money?

Wilmington has done a good job of maintaining a diversified economy. It's not a one trick pony (tourism) town.
