This would be a nice year to trade up in the draft. This team obviously won't get much better for a few years, and we have quite a few veteran players who could benefit other teams.

It looks like we're finally going to get that much needed jumbo video screen update at the stadium. 2 new screens will replace the existing ones. These are 3x the size (from 768 sqft to 2414 sqft) of the current ones and will be installed this year at a cost of $10 million.

Carolina Panthers have hired Mitsubishi Electric to install the new video displays at BofA Stadium. The screens will be 31.5 ft tall, 77 feet wide at each end zone. That's a sizeable upgrade!

Don't quote me on it but word on the street and the sports talk circuit is that the Panthers either have or are working on acquiring Chad Johnson to try to make a solid recieving corp. We'll see if this is just a rumor or if it will actually come to be.

The word is steve wants it to happen as well, seems it would fit him well. Doesn't seem like the kinda personality that would do well with Jerry Richardson.

Johnson is NOT the player to bring a franchise to the next level. He's probably the league's second-biggest distraction beside T.O., except that Owens has shown that he can make his teams better on the field. Johnson hasn't done that for the Bengals.

Today the Panthers signed WR DJ Hackett from the Seahawks. IMO, this is a great signing for the Panthers. They get a solid #2 WR opposite Smith at a potential bargain price ($3.5 million/2 years). As long as he's healthy, the Panthers should have a solid receiving corp next year.

Thats great news! look at the throwing options we have now... Smith, Hackett, and the Moose is back. this is very good conscidering we only had one reliable receiver in Smith and now we have 3. Not to mention it was with Muhammad that we got to our only super bowl, so '08 should be a great year!

I see that Drew Carter has been signed by the Raiders. The article I saw did not reveal contract terms, but I hope he got a decent deal. I thought he did pretty well last year, but we apparently don't have room for him anymore ...
