Pinnacle Hills Parkway Extension

Here's some information passed on to me regarding the Pinnacle Hills Parkway Extension:

"It appears that Bill Schwyhart &/or The Pinnacle Group is trying to forget their promise (as reported in 04-09-07 Business Journal by Andrew Jensen) to pay for the $6.6 Million price tag of the Pinnacle Hills Parkway Extension. The split between the Partners of "The Pinnacle Group" has left the City of Rogers scurrying to find a way to get the Parkway done, which had been designated as a Major Arterial and was to relieve the conjestion on Champions Drive by the time the Perry Road interchange and Pauline Whitaker Parkway are completed, estimated November, 2007. Schwyhart had been trying to tie up additional properties on this side of the interstate, but with no additional backing has been unable to do so. However, the Hunt/Graham partnership has continued to secure additional tracts in this immediate area to the tune of $12 Million, in past few weeks. The City of Rogers apparently will have to find a way to force the individuals involved to pay up, or find alternative funding for this critical road already designated on Master Street Plan and voted on by City Council. On Pleasant Grove Road, where Rogers First Church of the Nazarene is being built, this lack of progress on Pinnacle Hills Parkway Extension could really create a crunch on the Congregation, as the Large Scale Development Plan states, "Pinnacle Hills Parkway must be completed prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy". (City of Rogers Planninmg Commission Meeting Minutes, 01-02-07.)

The Church purchased their 12.5 acre parcel from The Pinnacle Group and part of the financial incentive offered to the Church was that Pinnacle Hills Parkway would be built by the Pinnacle Group, along the 748' frontage purchased by the Church.

McGoodwin, Williams & Yates, Engineers for the Pauline Whitaker Parkway on the North and the Nazarene Church on the South, don't want to discuss any details concerning the above."
