[Greer] Walgreen's at Hammett's Bridge

The Greenville News (2007-09-26): Greer seems to have its own version of Walgreen's at Pelham Road/Roper Mountain Road Extension nimbys.

The drugstore chain recently requested land at Hammett's Bridge and South Buncombe roads be rezoned for commercial as they attempt to build a freestanding location on the site, their third in Greer. Several residents are against this dea claiming it will increase commercialization down Hammett Bridge Road.

Knowing this immediate area is vastly residential with no necessities in sight, it would be nice to have a drug store nearby if they want their medicine. Also, would they want a grocery store nearby for food wihtout driving five or six miles away?
