Sheriff Pendergraph Retiring

Mecklenburg County Sheriff Jim Pendergraph announced his retirement after 13 years on the job, He will be taking a homeland security position starting December 3rd in Washington DC. Sheriff Pendergraphs last day in office will be December 1st.

So is Charlotte Fire Department Chief Luther Fincher (December 31st) and Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal Donnie Beard retired Friday. Public safety in this county COULD take a drastic new direction if replacements are found from outside organizations.
