Mid South Fair Relocation

There has been a lot of talk lately about where the fair will locate next year? The choices in this poll are the names of places that have been discussed in the media.

Please select a location and then let's discuss...why do you think that would be the ideal spot for the Mid South Fair...why should the Fair be moved from Midtown?

If memphis would actually focus some time and money cleaning up the crime and deprived areas of the city, there is no reason the fairgrounds cannot be a desirable area again. On the other hand if the city keeps on the same track as it is heading under king willie, the area will continue in its decline.

I would encourage the city to invest in the revitalization of the fairgrounds. Redesign the entrances, make the area more aesthetic to the eye, have a landscape architect spruce up the area, clean up the parks around the fairgrounds, etc. This area is not lost.

I am all for doing what it takes to keep the Mid-South Fair in Memphis and/or Shelby County. It would a great blow to not only Memphis and Shelby County, but the State of Tennessee if such a historic institution as the Mid-South Fair was to relocate to another state.
