Public Participation in Louisville

Hello all,

I just moved to Louisville from Nashville, TN and am interested in how citizens participate in urban design here. Does the public have a say in development and planning decisions? If so, how? Are there any NGOs that advocate for public participation or do planning resesarch? Just trying to get connected with my new town.
