Another condo tower for downtown

Here is a link to the website for the new condo tower that will replace the old Wachovia Bank Building on Front Street. It is a very cool, well done website. The building is a very unique 10 story project IMO. What do you think? This building will be half way between PPD and the new proposed Gateway Project. Demolition of the old building is set for next spring and the completion of the building should be late 2009. The filling in of downtown begins.

Yes, Wachovia has a new building on third street. It is about the same height, but has a larger foot print and much more modern look.

Speaking of banks, Bank of America is planning a nice building on third street and there is an interesting article on the banking boom in Wilmington in last month issue of the Wilmington Business Newspaper. 17 banks have now located along the Military Cutoff and the Eastwood road corridors. They follow growth and the money in that part of the city.
