Google Street View up and running in Pittsburgh

This is a fun toy. Just zoom in on Pittsburgh (or enter an address), select Street View and click on any blue outlined street for a 3D view at street level. It's a lot of fun and I'm glad to see our city included. This is also a useful tool because you can see what a building looks like or what's around it before you even go there.

You beat me to it! I was so happy when I heard on the news that google streetview was running today. It feels like it should be a holiday or something.

I am a little disappointed that they missed Braddock. It surprising that they hit almost every street in Duquesne.

I saw the article in the PG last night and it wasnt launched yet.

I even spotted my Dad's car parked outside his office in Greentree.

It looks like they captured stuff downtown in late July (based on the powerball being at 72 million).

Navigating the slopes is quite fun.

Nice finds.

A couple of things I have discovered so far... They took the trouble to go through cemetaries and also the zoo parking lot. But for some reason they skipped some entire neighborhoods, including Braddock. I wonder if they were trying to avoid driving through areas they perceived as sketchy? (I don't mean that as a dig at Braddock).
