Bowling Green Downtown Redevelopment Plan updates

Circus Square, the focal point in the downtown redevelopment plan, broke ground earlier in the week. It is expected to be completed by next summer. Also, Warren Fiscal Court approved a two percent hotel tax increase, which is expected to generate between seven and ten million dollars, all going to help kick start SKyPAC (Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center)

Great to hear the Circle Square has finally broke ground and that Warren County has taken first step in getting the SkyPAC going.

I think Bowling Green's downtown is really going to revitalize in the coming years and follow the lead of cities like Paducah and Ashland.

Any new news on the minor league baseball team and stadium proposal for downtown?

Just found this video a few days ago, not really sure who put this together. It's a 3D animation presentation of the future "WKU Gateway to Downtown Bowling Green" project, which includes Circus Square, SKyPAC, and the baseball stadium among other mixed-use developments. Looks pretty cool.

Just wanted to add these two links in regards to the redevelopment efforts in downtown BG. The first one is about the near completion of Circus Square park and the second one is a slideshow of the new baseball stadium. Downtown BG is going to be real nice once all these projects are fully completed!

^ Thanks for the links! Great to read about the progress of downtown BG. The city needs to keep up it's efforts in it's downtown redevelopment efforts and those of it's industrial recruitment. The city has a whole lot of potential to raise it's profile and image sigificantly in the coming years, and it needs to make sure it capitalizes on that potential while it's out there at it's peak.
